Return policy
At REART, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines how to return or exchange products, request refunds, and report damaged or defective items. Please read this carefully before purchasing.
1. Return Window
REART offers a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return or refund, the return request must be initiated within 30 days of receiving your order. Items returned after this period will not be accepted, and no refund will be issued.
2. Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund or exchange, returned items must meet the following conditions:
- Unopened Packaging: Product must be in its original, unopened packaging
- All Components Included: All original pieces, components, certificates, and documentation must be included
- Unused Condition: No pieces can be assembled, opened, or used in any way
- Original Condition: No signs of wear, damage beyond normal transit wear, or modification
- Pre-Assembled Items: For The Icon Display (pre-assembled, varnished), the item must be returned in its original unopened box with all components and Certificate of Authenticity intact
Items that have been opened, assembled, used, or damaged (beyond normal shipping wear) are not eligible for a standard return.
3. Return Process
Step 1: Request Authorization
Contact REART to request a return or exchange:

- Your order number
- Reason for return or exchange
- Photos of the product in its original packaging (if applicable)
We will respond within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping address.
Step 2: Prepare & Ship
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging)
- Include your RMA number on the outside of the box and inside the package
- Ship to the address provided by REART (address issued with RMA authorization)
- Use a carrier with tracking; keep your tracking number for your records
Step 3: Inspection & Refund Processing
Upon receipt, REART will inspect the item to verify it meets return conditions. Once approved:
- Refund Processing Time: 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the item
- Refund Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method (credit card, debit card, PayPal, etc.)
- Refund Amount: Full product price (shipping costs are non-refundable)
- Notification: You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed
4. Return Shipping
REART covers all return shipping costs. We provide a prepaid return shipping label with your RMA authorization, or you may use your own carrier. If you use your own carrier, keep your receipt—REART will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs upon request (capped at $25 USD for domestic US returns).
International Returns: For orders shipped internationally, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. However, if the item is defective or damaged in transit, REART will reimburse international return shipping (provide tracking and receipt for reimbursement consideration).
5. Exchange Policy
REART offers exchanges for items that are unopened and unused within the 30-day return window.
- Product Availability: Exchanges are subject to product availability. If your desired item is out of stock, we will either: (a) place you on a waitlist for notification when available, (b) issue a full refund, or (c) offer a store credit for future purchase
- Different Product: If exchanging for a higher-priced item, you pay the price difference. If exchanging for a lower-priced item, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.
- Shipping: REART covers return shipping. Standard shipping for the replacement item is free for orders over $179; otherwise, shipping is applied at checkout.
- Processing Time: Exchanges are processed within 7-10 business days of receiving your return, plus standard shipping time for the replacement item.
6. Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, we make the return process simple and customer-friendly.
What Qualifies as Damaged/Defective
- Visible damage from shipping (crushed box, broken components, water damage, etc.)
- Missing pieces that were supposed to be included
- Defective varnish finish on The Icon Display (peeling, uneven application, etc.)
- Missing or damaged Certificate of Authenticity
- Manufacturing defects (misaligned pieces, missing paint, structural issues)
Damaged/Defective Return Process
- Report Immediately: Contact contact@reartbuild.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage or defect
- No Inspection Requirements: We waive the normal "unopened/unused" conditions for damaged or defective items

- Free Replacement: We ship a replacement item to you at no cost, no return required (for minor damage)
- Return & Refund: We provide a prepaid return label; upon receipt, we issue a full refund (including original shipping) within 5 business days
- Return & Exchange: Return the item with prepaid label and receive a free replacement of the same or different product
- No Charge Return Shipping: REART covers all return shipping for damaged or defective items, no exceptions
7. Missing Components
If you discover missing pieces or components after opening your package:
- Report Within 7 Days: Contact contact@reartbuild.com with your order number and photos of the missing items

- Ship missing components to you at no cost (fastest option)
- Offer a full return and refund
- Provide store credit for future purchase
- No Return Required for Missing Components: In most cases, we will ship replacement pieces without requiring you to return anything
8. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for standard returns (but are eligible for replacement if damaged or defective):
- Pre-Order Items (Opened or Assembled): Pre-order purchases cannot be returned for refund once opened or used. However, if defective or damaged, full replacement or refund is offered.
- Sale or Clearance Items: Items purchased at a discount may be exchanged but not refunded (though defective items are fully covered)
- Custom or Personalized Orders: Custom orders cannot be returned; only replacement for defects is available
9. Pre-Order Specific Terms
REART offers pre-orders for upcoming products with estimated April shipment dates. Pre-order customers should understand:
- Non-Cancellable: Pre-orders are binding once confirmed. Cancellations are not permitted, and no refund will be issued unless the item is defective upon delivery.
- Estimated Ship Date: April 2026 (exact date to be confirmed via email 2 weeks before shipment)
- Processing & Shipping Timeline: Processing time and shipping carrier details will be communicated as we approach the ship date. Estimated delivery times will be provided at that point.
- Refund for Defects: If a pre-order item arrives damaged or defective, full refund (including original shipping) is issued upon inspection and confirmation of defect.
- No Refund for Change of Mind: Pre-orders cannot be refunded due to change of mind; refunds are only available for defective items.
10. Refund & Return of Promotional/Discount Items
Items purchased with discount codes or promotional pricing follow these rules:
- Refunds are issued at the discounted price paid, not the full retail price
- Discount codes cannot be reused if you return an item and repurchase; you must contact us for a replacement code
- REART Gift Cards are non-refundable but can be applied to returns
11. Processing Times & Communication
Here's the typical timeline for returns and refunds:
- RMA Authorization: Issued within 2 business days of your return request
- Shipping to REART: Estimated 3-7 business days (depends on your location and carrier)
- Inspection Upon Receipt: 1-2 business days
- Refund Processing: 5-10 business days after inspection approval
- Total Timeline: Typically 2-4 weeks from return request to refund in your account

12. International Returns
For customers who ordered from outside the United States:
- Return Shipping Cost: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs (REART will reimburse reasonable costs upon request with receipt)
- Longer Processing Timeline: Allow 4-8 weeks for complete return processing (shipping + inspection + refund)
- Customs: International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes on replacement items
- Damaged in Transit: If item is damaged due to shipping/customs, provide photos and shipping receipt; REART will cover return shipping and provide replacement
13. Store Credit Alternative
Instead of a refund, customers can choose store credit equal to the purchase price (no discount applied to future purchases). Store credit:
- Does not expire
- Can be applied to any REART product
- Is non-transferable and non-refundable
14. Exceptions & Special Cases
REART reserves the right to refuse returns or refunds in the following cases:
- Return request submitted more than 30 days after delivery
- Item shows signs of use, assembly, or modification
- Item is not in original packaging or condition
- Item was damaged by customer misuse or accident (not shipping damage)
- Return is initiated for an item purchased from a third-party reseller (not directly from REART)

16. Policy Changes
REART may update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. For purchases made before a policy change, the policy in effect at the time of purchase applies. However, if the new policy is more favorable to customers, we will apply it retroactively.
